Zusammenfassung:An air distribution system (200, 200a, 200b) and method (300) for an air conditioning system (28) in an air vehicle (10) are provided. The air distribution system (200, 200a, 200b) has lower lobe ducts (208) below a cabin floor (26) of a cabin of the air vehicle (10). Each lower lobe duct (208) is in fluid communication with a mix manifold (210) coupled to AC packs (29). The air distribution system (200, 200a, 200b) further has sidewall riser ducts (202), outboard manifold ducts (222), a recirculation air duct (212), and either recirculation downer ducts (226), or branch recirculation ducts (244) coupled to the recirculation air duct (212). The air distribution system (200, 200a, 200b) has a conditioned air flow (232), distributed to either the lower lobe ducts (208), or the lower lobe ducts (208) and then the sidewall riser ducts (202); has a recirculated air flow (234), distributed to either the recirculation downer ducts (226) or branch recirculation ducts (244); and has a mixed air flow (236) distributed to the outboard manifold ducts (222), and into the cabin (22).
