The electrical machine (1; 2) comprises a housing (5), a stator (10) casted with casting compound (50) into the housing (5), a rotor (20) rotatable with respect to the stator (10), a bearing (30) for bearing the rotor (20) at one side of the stator (10), wherein the housing (5) comprises an opening (54) and a groove (53; 56) for a purge gas drainage, and wherein the groove (53; 56) is faced to the bearing (30) and connected with the opening (54).
