Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a honing method for machining the inner surface of a bore in a workpiece with the aid of at least one honing operation, in particular for honing cylinder running surfaces in the production of cylinder blocks, or cylinder liners for reciprocating piston machines, wherein during a honing operation, an expandable honing tool coupled with a spindle is moved back and forth inside the bore for generating a lifting movement in the axial direction of the bore. At the same time, the honing tool is rotated with a torque transmitted via the spindle for generating a rotational movement superimposing the lifting movement. A bore shape that is rotationally symmetrical with respect to a bore axis and that deviates from the circular cylinder shape, and has an axial contour profile is produced. For generating an axially varying material removal, a length of stroke and/or a lifting position of the lifting movement is changed in at least one variable stroke phase (PH2). The honing method is characterized by a control of the torque (DM) transmitted to the honing tool via the spindle such that during the variable stroke phase (PH2), the torque substantially remains constant. |
