Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a circumferential surface processing unit (10) for processing a workpiece circumferential surface (72) eccentric with respect to a workpiece axis (116) by at least a finishing tool, wherein the at least one finishing tool is held on a finishing tool holder (60) and the finishing tool holder (60) can move along a motional orbit of the workpiece circumferential surface (72) during the processing of the workpiece circumferential surface (72) by a bearing unit, wherein the circumferential surface processing unit (10) has an oscillating drive means (48) through which the finishing tool holder (60) can be oscillatingly driven in a direction in parallel to the workpiece axis. The invention also relates to a machine tool and a method for operating the circumferential surface processing unit (10) and the machine tool.
