Zusammenfassung:	A vehicle display apparatus and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. The display apparatus includes a display (170, 172) and a controller (180, 190) configured to monitor a manipulation variable of a driving manipulation device provided to a vehicle, to select any one driving mode corresponding to the manipulation variable of the driving manipulation device from among a plurality of predetermined driving modes, and to control the display to display different information according to the plurality of driving modes. When a driving mode corresponding to a relatively small manipulation variable is selected, the controller decreases driving information displayed on the display and increases convenience information displayed on the display, as compared to when a driving mode corresponding to a relatively large manipulation variable is selected.
