Zusammenfassung:	A packaging material for a vacuum insulator of the invention includes: a barrier film including a plastic base member; an aluminum-deposited ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer film stacked on the barrier film; and a heat-fusible layer stacked on the aluminum-deposited ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer film. A vapor-deposited thin film layer and a coating layer are sequentially stacked in layers in order on at least one surface of the plastic base member of the barrier film, wherein the vapor-deposited thin film layer is formed of a composite including: a metal or an inorganic oxide, or a metal and an inorganic oxide, wherein the coating layer is made of an aqueous solution or a coating agent, wherein the aqueous solution includes: a high molecular aqueous solution; and at least one of (a) and (b), (a) being at least one of, one or more kinds of alkoxide, and one or more kinds of hydrolyzate of alkoxide, (b) being tin chlorides, wherein the coating agent includes as a main agent a mixed solution of water and alcohol.
