description A method is provided of determining received signal power and location of a user terminal in a network comprising base stations for cellular wireless telecommunications, the user terminal and the base station serving the user terminal both being switchable between operation according to a first network technology domain and operation according to a second network technology domain. The method comprises: the user terminal undertaking a measurement of received power in the first domain, the user terminal being handed over to the second domain of the serving base station, the user terminal taking measurements of signal transmission times between the user terminal and at least three of the base stations in the second domain, the user terminal being handed back to the first domain of the serving base station, location of the user terminal being determined from the measurements of signal transmission times, and the measured received power being stored associated with the determined location.
