Zusammenfassung: | A reflective photoelectric sensor produces a line beam expanded in a longitudinal direction and also in a width direction to increase the detectable range and also to increase the coverage for averaging. A photoelectric sensor (100) is a light emitting unit that is configured to illuminate a target at a predetermined distance from the sensor with light. The photoelectric sensor (100) includes an LD (51), a diaphragm (52b), and a transmitter lens (53). The diaphragm (52b) blocks a peripheral portion of light emitted from the LD (51). The transmitter lens (53) converts light passing through the diaphragm (52b) to a substantially collimated light beam. The light beam has an oval cross-section having a ratio of a length of a long axis to a length of a short axis ranging from 2 to 10 inclusive at the predetermined distance. |
