Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:Provided are a shaft sealing structure capable of lengthening the endurance time during which the leakage of fluid is prevented and a reactor coolant pump. The shaft sealing structure includes a seal ring (1) that has abutment portions (7) formed by dividing the seal ring (1) along the axial direction and that is provided around a main shaft (10) in a ring-like manner; a support member (6) that is provided in the seal ring (1) along the circumferential direction of the main shaft (10), that is moved toward the center of the main shaft (10) while being brought into contact with the seal ring (1), and that is moved relative to the seal ring (1) along the circumferential direction of the main shaft (10); and a thermoswitch (3) that is connected to the support member (6) between the abutment portions and that presses the support member (6) toward the center of the main shaft (10) when the temperature rises to a temperature higher than that during normal operation, in which the seal ring (1) is fixed at a position separated from the main shaft (10) during the normal operation and is moved by the support member (6) toward the center of the main shaft (10) when the temperature rises to a temperature higher than that during the normal operation.
