The reaction material (R) for the chemical heat pump (100) structurally changes between a compound including type III anhydrous gypsum, the magnesium compound, and Ca x Mg 1-x SO 4 , and a compound including hemihydrate gypsum, a hydrate of the magnesium compound, and a hydrate of Ca x Mg 1-x SO 4 when subjected to heat storage process and heat release process. x is 0
