Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides a particulate material for polishing glass which contains a smaller amount of cerium and is replaceable with conventionally used polishing materials containing cerium oxide. The present invention relates to a particulate material for polishing glass, each particle thereof including: a base particle selected from a particle of titanium oxide, zirconium oxide, barium sulfate, synthetic mica, zinc oxide, and calcium carbonate; and one or more cerium oxide particles carried on the surface of the base particle.
