Zusammenfassung:	The card mass storage device (1) comprises card holders (15), which are arranged on a rotating card holder carrier (18) that is movable in itself. The card holders are rigidly arranged to each other at a holding body (16) and two additional card holders are rigidly arranged to each other at another holding body. Each card holder comprises a card guide and a portion of the card guide is provided on the latter adjacent holding body for the former card holder of the former holding body. A card handling unit (7,8) is arranged in a linear area (19) of the card holder carrier. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a card transportation unit with a conveyor path and a card mass storage device; and (2) a method for sorting cards running through a conveyor path using multiple card slots.
