Zusammenfassung:	A system, method, and computer program product are provided for handling bulk initial downloads of databases to mobile devices. Rather than straining the resources of a mobile device to recreate the database locally, a server can construct the database to the mobile device's requirements at the server by impersonating the mobile device. The server can then send the database, compressed and over an encrypted session, to the mobile device. The mobile device can then decrypt and uncompress the pages received, and then encrypt them using a local key for secure storage on a local storage device.
