HEAT INSULATION ELEMENT MADE OF MINERAL WOOL, IN PARTICULAR STONE OR GLASS WOOL

The element is made of mineral wool e.g. stone wool and glass wool. Mineral wool fibers are moistened with a binding agent i.e. phenol formaldehyde resin, for curing. An inorganic infrared-opacifying agent is formed from zirconium silicate and added on the mineral wool fibers. The zirconium silicate is present in a mixture, which includes 60 to 70 %, preferably 64 to 65.5 % zirconium dioxide, 33 to 34 % silicon dioxide, 0.10 % maximum iron oxide, and 0.15 % maximum titanium dioxide. The element is provided in a plate-, web-, roll- or shell form. Bei Wärmedämmelementen aus Mineralwolle, insbesondere Stein- oder Glaswolle, wird an die Mineralwollfasern ein anorganisches Infrarot-Trübungsmittel angelagert, welches aus Zirkonsilikat gebildet ist.
