Zusammenfassung:A power tool comprising a housing (102); a brushless DC motor (104) housed inside the housing (102), the motor (104) comprising a stator assembly (230) and a rotor assembly (250) at least a portion of which is arranged pivotably inside the stator assembly (230), the rotor assembly including a rotor lamination stack (256) and a rotor (254) fixedly housed inside a center portion of the rotor lamination stack (256) to pivot therewith, the rotor lamination stack (256) housing a plurality of permanent magnets (292) longitudinally arranged inside the lamination stack (256) and extending beyond the longitudinal length of the rotor lamination stack (256) in at least one direction towards at least one magnet sensor (220) to facilitate sensing of the permanent magnet (282) via the at least one magnet sensor (220), characterised in that the rotor assembly (250) further comprising a magnet retaining cap (258) arranged adjacent to a first end of the rotor lamination stack (256), the magnet retaining cap (258) including a plurality of slots to receive portions of the plurality of permanent magnets (282) extending beyond the longitudinal length of the rotor lamination stack (256).
