Energy supply network and control process for distributing regeneratively generated electric energy

The energy supply system (10) distributes electrical energy from conventional (12) and renewable (14) energy sources to a number of domestic (22) and industrial (23) consumers. Distribution devices (28) include units for measuring wind and other weather conditions or for receiving measurements performed elsewhere, and for predicting the consequent supply capacity of renewable energy sources. At least some of the consumers are equipped with heating systems capable of operating from both electrical heating and from combustible fuels and include a switching device for selecting either heating method. The switching devices are controlled by signals transmitted by the distribution device, e.g. via internet, radio, or the telephone network. Independent claims are also included for : (1) a heating apparatus with fuel-based and electric-based heaters; (2) an electrical energy distributor in an energy supply system; and (3) a method for controlling an energy supply system.
