Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a control unit for a first motor vehicle (F1), for preventing dazzling of vehicles travelling ahead (F2, F3) and/or oncoming vehicles during turning manoeuvres - having a first interface for connecting to a detection device, in particular a camera system, for detecting vehicles travelling ahead (F2, F3) and/or oncoming vehicles, having a second interface for connecting to motor vehicle headlights, wherein the control unit is suitable for performing open loop and/or closed-loop control and is designed to select various light distributions of the motor vehicle headlights, - the control unit is suitable and is designed to generate an actuation signal which is present at the second interface and has the purpose of adjusting the selected light distribution, wherein the light distribution of the motor vehicle headlights can be selected by the control unit in such a way that a light distribution which dazzles the oncoming vehicle or the vehicle travelling ahead (F2, F3) can be set at the motor vehicle headlights if a signal which indicates at least one vehicle travelling ahead (F2, F3) or oncoming vehicle is present at the first interface, - wherein the control unit has a third interface which is suitable for displaying, and is designed to display, the start of the detection of a turning manoeuvre of the vehicle travelling ahead (F2, F3) or of the first vehicle (F1), wherein the dazzling light distribution of the motor vehicle headlights remains set by the control unit for a predetermined distance or a predetermined time when a signal which displays the start of the turning manoeuvre is present.
