The portable shunt device comprises a zero cross circuit; a control unit adapted to send control impulses for controlling the conduction state of the zero cross circuit in response to a control signal; and a pair of terminals connected to the zero cross circuit for releasably connecting the portable shunt device across the electrical connection to be opened or closed so as to bridge the electrical connection. |
