Textile-specific promoters

Promoter (I) comprising a nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2 (comprising a fully defined 1919 base pair sequence given in the specification), a nucleotide sequence that is complementary to the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2 or a nucleotide sequence that is hybridized with the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2 or its complementary nucleotide sequence, is new. Independent claims are included for: (1) derivatives of (I); (2) a vector or mobile genetic element comprising (I) or the derivatives of (I); (3) a prokaryotic or eukaryotic host cell comprising (I) or the derivatives of (I); (4) transgenic plants or their parts comprising (I) or the derivatives of (I); (5) seeds of the transgenic plants; and (6) a transgenic plant obtained by transforming a plant cell with (I), which is operatively connected with a gene to be transferred, and subsequently regenerating the transgenic plants, where the transgenic plant enables the expression of at least one of transferred gene in specific plant parts, and the expression takes place in the underground organs and not in above-ground organs of the plants.
