Process for the preparation of flexible, resilient polyurethane foam and the resulting foam

The flexible, resilient polyurethane foam is prepared by reacting a polyisocyanate composition with an isocyanate reactive composition containing compounds having at least two isocyanate reactive groups, wherein the isocyanate reactive composition comprises, per 100 parts of said isocyanate reactive groups containing compounds : a) 50 to 80 parts of one or more polyoxyalkylene polyols having an oxyethylene unit content of at least 40 wt. %, a hydroxyl number of between 20 and 100, and a nominal functionality of 2 to 4; b) 20 to 50 parts of one or more further polyoxyalkylene polyols having an oxyethylene unit content lower than 40 wt. %, a hydroxyl number of between 20 and 100, and a nominal functionality of 2 to 4; and c) 2.5 to 35 parts of at least one solid polymer stably dispersed in one or more of said polyols and further polyols so that the flexible foam has an ILD 40% hardness of between 75 and 250 N. This formulation enables to obtain a foam with a very small wet compression set.
