Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a novel hole punch comprising a support for the item to be punched, at least one punching tool, which can be displaced through the item to be punched, and at least one stop system for the item to be punched. The stop system comprises a stop unit with two stop rails (6), which are connected to each other so as to be centered in relation to each other and which are disposed transversely displaceably to the longitudinal axis (L) of the hole punch. The stop rails (6) are connected to each other via a synchronization control, which guarantees the centering function. The synchronization control is formed by a gear wheel mechanism. Advantageously, the stop rails (6) and the synchronization control are disposed on a displaceable carriage (8), wherein the stop unit can be fixed in different positions in a locking manner.
