System for fixing a windscreen and side windows to the struts of an automobile and associated installation method

The system has a sill molding (4) that is free with respect to struts (2). A part (4a) of the sill molding externally covers an adjacent lateral edge of a windscreen (1), where lateral edges of the windscreen are glued on a marginal part (2a) of the struts. The sill molding covers externally an interstice (5) between the windscreen (1) and lateral window panes (3), where the edge of the lateral window panes is glued on a marginal part (2b) of the struts. A part (4b) of the sill molding supports externally on an adjacent edge of the lateral window panes. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a windscreen on a plate glass window of a motor vehicle.
