The zoned puncture sealant layer comprises organoperoxide depolymerized butyl rubber zones comprising a central primary zone (4) and lateral zones (5) joined together to form the unitary sealant layer. The sealant of the lateral zones of the sealant layer is of a higher storage modulus (G') than the sealant of the central zone.
