Starter/generator system with control to address a voltage rise

A control circuit (20) for a generator (24) has a control function that monitors the voltage across a bus capacitor (48). The circuit delivers excess voltage back to associated stator windings (26) if an unduly high voltage is detected across the bus capacitor.
