Independent claims are also included for (1) antimicrobial glasses or glass-ceramics and their powders, the ceramic being made from the oxide composition; (2) polymer-glass composites made from the glass and/or glass-ceramic; (3) production of the polymer-glass composites or their granulates by heating a mixture of the polymer and glass powder to 50-350[deg]C and optionally granulating; (4) production of the antimicrobial glasses by melting all of the components , including Ag 2O, ZnO and other antimicrobial components in a crucible; and (5) production of plastics (semi-finished) products by processing the polymer-glass composites. |
