A thermoplastic layer (14) is deposited onto the heated tool (10) by thermal spraying a thermoplastic (9) on the heated tool (10). Composite material (16) is applied onto the thermoplastic layer (14). The thermoplastic layer (14) and the composite material (16) are then cured.
