Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a disposable bio-sensor, comprising a support material (1), upon which electrical conductors (2) and an electrode system, comprising a counter electrode (6) and a working electrode (5) formed from a reaction layer, are deposited, a dielectric insulating layer (3), covering the support material (1) and the electrical conductors (2), recesses for forming contacts (4) for a potentiostat unit and the electrode system and a bio-component for recognition of the analyte. The reaction layer of said disposable bio-sensor comprises a lightly subliming electron-transfer mediator along with an electron-conducting material. The electrode system of said bio-sensor is covered by a polymeric protective coat (8). The invention further relates to a method for the determination of analytes in a fluid sample, by means of the said bio-sensor, the use of lightly subliming compounds as electron-transfer mediators in an electrochemical sensor for the transfer of electrons from an enzyme to an electron conducting material and the use of said bio-sensors for the determination of analyte concentrations in body or sample fluids. |
