description Filtration unit comprises a filter housing for removing the filtrate and includes tubular ceramic filter elements that allow the non-filtrate to pass through. The filter elements are in two groups, in which the elements are connected to a device for introducing the non-filtrate. Filtration unit (1) comprises a filter housing (2) for removing the filtrate and includes tubular ceramic filter elements (4, 4') that allow the non-filtrate to pass through. The filter elements are in two groups, in which the elements are connected to a device for introducing the non-filtrate. The non-filtrate in the first group of elements flows in the flow direction into the second group in a counter direction. The filter elements of the first group are in one or more inner concentric circles around a central point of the filtration unit. The filter elements of the second group are in one or more outer concentric circles around a central point of the filtration unit. An Independent claim is also included for a process for filtering liquids using the filtration unit. Preferred Features: The non-filtrate is fed to one side of the filter housing and removed. A feed line (7) joins the first group of filter elements of the filter housing, and a removal line (8) joins the other group of filter elements of the filter housing. The feed line and the removal line are sealed from the filter housing of the filtration unit. The filter elements of one group are directly parallel.
