Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a transversal conveyor worm (11) for a mowing or maize harvesting attachment (1) having a base body (12) and volutions (15) allocated thereto. Working elements (4) for mowing and/or transporting the harvest (9) are arranged upstream in relation to the volutions (15) and in the direction of motion. The base body (12) that is provided with the volutions (15) rotates about a rotational axis (18) that is arranged crosswise in relation to the direction of motion (FR). The edges (17) of the volutions (15) pertaining to the base body (12) are radially situated outside and define an enveloping surface (19) which at least partially changes in the cross-section thereof. The distance of the volutions (15) which define the enveloping surface (19) to the working elements (4) arranged upstream in relation thereto can be changed in such a way that the harvest (9) can always be securely received by means of the volutions (15). The size of the conveyor chambers for the material (30) can be adapted to the amount of harvest (9) to be conveyed by said chambers for conveying harvest in the area of the transversal conveyor element (11) involving little friction and thus minimising wear and tear. |
