Zusammenfassung:	An elongate ribbon or strip of food material consists of a plurality of slices of food material which are either in an edge-overlapping or shingled relationship or combined like a bonding pattern of bricks. In the former case, the area of the overlap between two adjacent slices is at most 90% of the total area of each slice of food material, and in the latter case, this area is 10-100%. A process of preparing this elongate ribbon or strip of food material, and a method of preparing filled, edible products and the resulting products have also been described.
