Process for the preparation of an yttrium-stabilised fine zircon powder essentially in the tetragonal form, the said process being characterised in that it comprises the following stages:
a) an aqueous mixture of zirconyl/acetate and yttrium acetate is prepared,
b) the pH of the said mixture is brought to a value of at least 5,
c) the solvent is removed from the said mixture, d) the solid residue obtained at the end of stage c) is pyrolysed.
The invention also relates to the products obtained by the said process. |
