Passages in the separator plate direct fluid to passages (26,74,76) formed in the transmission housing at the interface of the cover plate and transmission housing, for distribution within the transmission housing to components disposed therein. Electrical wiring (60) for the solenoids of the control valves, and also an electrical connector (58), are disposed on the cover plate so that a single electrical connection (62) to the transmission housing can be utilised. Filters (28) for both high-pressure control fluid and low-pressure cooling and lube fluid are secured on the cover plate.
