Zusammenfassung:	To improve known production methods for producing porous, temperature-stable articles with the use of elastic foam bodies as the substrate, it is proposed to mix the generally pulverulent material for the porous article with particles and/or whiskers which impart a higher mechanical strength to the end product and at the same time enlarge the internal surface area of the pore walls. The articles thus produced are suitable especially as filter bodies for filtering particles out of exhaust gases, in particular diesel exhaust gases.
