A sector element according to claim 1, characterized in that the sector element (5) has a height (L) extending from the end (13) of the sector portion (15) to the bottom of the neck portion (14), and that the ratio of the height (L) of the sector element (5) to the inner cross-sectional area (AK) of the mouth portion (20) is 270 (1m) or less. 3. A sector element according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the sector portion (15) and the neck portion (14) are separate components that are detachably connectable together. 4. A sector element according to claim 3, characterized in that the lower part of the sector portion (15) is provided with a dent (17), and the neck portion (14) correspondingly comprises an expanded section (18) corresponding to the of the flow channel (16). 5. A neck portion to be connected to a sector portion (15) of a sector element (5) in a disc filter (1), the sector portion (15) comprising side surfaces (6) with an area (AS), the neck portion (14) comprising a mouth portion (20) that is connectable to a frame part (4) of the disc filter (1), and a flow channel (16) for connecting together the sector portion (15) and the frame part (4), characterized in that the flow channel (16) of the neck portion (14) is designed such that the ratio of the area (AS) of one side surface (6) of the sector portion (15) to the inner cross-sectional area (AK) of the flow channel (16) over the mouth portion is 105 or less.
