Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a device 1 for applying an electric field to a suspension of cells, cell derivatives, organelles, sub-cellular particles and/or vesicles, comprising at least one chamber 6 which comprises at least two segments, each segment comprising at least one electrode 4, 5, wherein at least one port 7, 8 is disposed at one end 9 of the chamber 6 and at least one further port 10, 11 is disposed at the opposite end 12 of the chamber 6. According to the invention each segment is provided with at least one first electrode 4 and at least one second electrode 5, wherein the second electrode 5 is a common electrode of at least two segments. In order to avoid arcing and/or undesired heating of the suspension, voltage pulses can be applied to different segments of the chamber sequentially. |
