Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1,269,682. Strip fastenings. DYNAMIT NOBEL A.G. 8 April, 1969 [5 April, 1968; 5 Aug., 1968], No. 18038/69. Heading E2S. [Also in Division F2] A thermoplastic plastics profiled strip 1, comprising at least one longitudinally extending protrusion 3 and at least one longitudinally extending groove 2 for engagement with the protrusion at, the protrusion of another identical strip, is characterised in that the crosssections of the protrusion and groove are non- identical and are such that, when the protrusion is in interengagement with the groove, the protrusion causes the groove to be enlarged and the groove causes the protrusion to be diminished whereby the groove and the protrusion are urged towards one another over substantially their entire surfaces. The strip may have a reinforcing rib 6 which may be hollow and receive a tube of different plastics material or a wire, or cord of metal or plastics material. Alternatively, a hollow rib 6 may be filled e.g. with glass fibres. In a modification, Fig. 4 not shown, a groove (2) of dovetail shape is formed inwardly of one side edge of the strip (1) the web (3), tapering outwardly, projecting laterally from the opposite side edge. The strip may be of considerable thickness and include longitudinally-extending channels for carrying media or accommodating other materials. The joint between the web 3 and groove 2 may have an intermediate layer e.g. of rubber soft P.V.C., polytetrafluoroethylene &c., or fabric. In a modification; Fig. 9, several thicknesses of strip may be intergaged by providing each strip with grooves 2 on one face and webs 3 on the other, the joins being preferably relatively offset from layer to layer. The notch 12, Fig. 2, can be avoided by providing a ledge on the inside of the web 3 to received a shortened outer limb of the groove portion, Fig. 11 not shown.
