Described is a stator for an electric motor, in particular a small motor, the stator having an at least two-part bundle (10) of laminae designed to hold the stator coil (16, 17). In order to simplify manufacture and assembly of the stator, the two parts (21, 22) of the bundle are held together by snap-in connections (19). The snap-in connections consist of a multiplicity of projecting tongues (23), one on each lamina (11) in the first part (22) of the lamina bundle designed so that they extend out towards the other part (21) of the bundle and with a first shape (47), plus a multiplicity of cut-outs (24), one in each lamina (11) in the second part (21) of the bundle, and with a second shape (48) such that the tongues (23) extend round behind the cut-outs (24) approximately at right angles to the direction of insertion of the tongues (23).
