description | The invention relates to the measurement of process variables in complex liquid medium and can be used in biotechnology, medicine, agriculture and environmental protection. The aim of the invention is to measure a process taking place in a biological system, e.g. in a bioreactor, more completely than hitherto and to set up the conditions for substantial automation and optimisation of the process according to biological target variables. This is achieved according to the invention by providing, for sterile removal of biological material in liquid form, a separation component which is outside the biological system and is connected thereto, by a module for preparing the sample being connected to the separation component, by means being arranged for measurement of the samples in parallel or series, with those means for sterile measurement of the sample being arranged upstream of the module and means for non-sterile measurement of the samples being arranged downstream of the module, and by assigning to the abovementioned components a transport system for transporting the samples. |
