description The invention relates to a circuit arrangement for supplying electrical power from the AC mains to low-voltage loads, especially for the regulated electrical power supply of low-voltage lamps, such as halogen lamps or the like. A rectifier is provided for this purpose, in order to convert the mains AC voltage into a DC voltage, and in parallel with which a tuned circuit is connected whose inductance is formed at least partially by the primary winding of a transformer, and the secondary winding of the transformer supplies the load. According to the invention, a series circuit is provided as the tuned circuit with which in each case one switching transistor is connected in series and in parallel, which switching transistors are switched on and off alternately as a function of control switching at a control pulse repetition rate (pulse repetition frequency) in the region of the resonant frequency of the tuned circuit. The switching frequency can be controlled in order to control the power consumption.
