To release the brake following an emergency application, a release body can be activated to rotate the release rod such that the first and second toothed portions align in a mated position allowing independent relative movement between the release rod and emergency piston. A restoring arrangement returns the release rod to the original position upon repressurization of the emergency chamber. |
