Zusammenfassung: | An electrically operated fuel pump is described, which comprises an electric motor and a regenerative pump, which has a pump housing and a disc-shaped impeller. The engine shaft has an end section, which extends into a middle axial through bore, which is formed in one end wall of the pump housing. A connecting element, which comprises an annular base and a series of axial rods running in the peripheral direction and extending from the base, is pivotally mounted in the axial through bore in the end wall of the pump housing and fixed on the end section of the engine shaft. The impeller is mounted so as to be rotatable and axially movable on an impeller shaft which is provided separate from the engine shaft and is fixed on the other end wall of the pump housing. The impeller is also equipped with a series of axial apertures running in the peripheral direction, with which the axial rods of the connecting element are in loose engagement, in order to transmit the rotation of the engine shaft to the impeller and at the same time to permit an axial movement of the impeller and relative to the engine shaft and to the pump housing. |
