description | A device for connecting cable rack sections to one another contains a pair of longitudinally narrow connecting pieces (4), of whose longitudinal sides one is bent through 180 DEG and one (5) is bent through 90 DEG in order to grip the struts (1, 2) of the cable rack, each having an associated clamping plate (6) and screw (7) for firmly clamping the connecting piece (4) to the struts of the cable rack. The connecting piece (4) is designed with two holes (9) and the clamping plate (6) is provided with two studs (11), in order to add impressions (15) into the holes (9) of the connecting piece when clamping the struts (1, 2) of the cable rack between the clamping plate (6) and the connecting piece (4), by tightening the screw (7) onto the strut material. A lobe (13) at one end of the longitudinal side (5) of the connecting piece (4) which is bent through 90 DEG is produced by notching (14) at an oblique angle with respect to the longitudinal side (5) and is intended to be bent against the interior of the connecting piece once the cable rack has been inserted into the connecting piece (4) in order to support the strut (1, 2) of the cable rack. The hole in the connecting piece (4) for the screw (7) is arranged asymmetrically on the connecting piece (4), when seen in the longitudinal direction. |
