Zusammenfassung:A thermoplastic moulding compsn. comprises an impact resistant styrene polymer (I) contg. a matrix with a wt. ave. mol. wt. (GPC) of greater than 270000 and a mol.wt. distribution of 3 or less and a polyphenylene ether (II). The compsn. comprises 5-90 pref. 20-80 wt.% (I) and 95-10 pref. 80-20 wt.% (II). (I) are prepd. by polymerisation of monovinyl aromatic monomers in the presence of a rubber. The amt. of rubber in (I) is 2-20 pref. 5-15 wt.%. (II) is esp. poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene)ether (IIA). The mouldings have low shrinkage and high impact resistance.
