Zusammenfassung: | Electrolyte for electrochemical polishing of Ti (alloy) articles comprises (by wt.) 45-70% H2SO4, 4-20% HNO3, 20-35% HF, 1-3.5% surfactant (I) based on L-sulphocarboxylic acid, and 4-20% water. (I) comprises (by wt. total electrolyte) 0.4-1.9% Na salt of 17-20C L-sulphocarboxylic acid, 0.1-1.6% Na salt of 17-20C carboxylic acid. The surfactant may alternatively be 1-2% alkyl sulphoureid. In medical engineering (e.g. for finishing artificial cardiac valves), ship building, aircraft and instrument industries, etc. The electrolyte produces high class surface finish with a uniform electrochemical potential. The surface is covered with a better oxide film which raises the corrosion resistance by 20-30%. |
