| Zusammenfassung: | The track for the tracked hovercraft is divided into separate sections by two sets of insulating rail (4) with a special intermediate rail (6) between them. This is linked to one of the sections via a resistance to smooth out the transition between sections, to prevent a sudden drop in power which can ground the hovertrain. Each car of the train is provided with two contact pick-ups which are spaced apart by more than the width of the insulating strips and less than the length of the intermediate rail. The nearest pick-ups between adjacent cars are spaced apart at a distance greater than the length of the intermediate rail. |
