Zusammenfassung:In a wire-drawing machine with at least two dies, each drawing block has an effective surface that is tapered from one end of its rotation axis to the other and has independently adjustable driving means having a working range in which the angular velocity of the drawing block can change in response to variations in the speed of wire frictionally engaged therewith without any substantial change in the torque of the driving means and independently of the other drawing blocks. Preferred driving means are turbine motors or pneumatic displacement motors, preferably supplied from a common source of working fluid, and electric torque motors.
