Zusammenfassung:CaO-rich flue ashes, which develop 40-120 cal/g in 24 hrs. after mixing with quantity of water required to reach their normal consistency and which contain >=12 wt.% CaO hydr. and >=16% active SiO2 + Al2O3, are set and hardened by using water as mixing liquid, without supply of heat, at 50-100 degrees C (esp 60-80 degrees C). Pref. the hardening material attains max. reaction temp. within 10min. to hrs. and remains 2-18 hrs. within this temp. range. Pref. the raw materials are set and hardened in granulated form. Process allows utilisation of electrofilter, ash, esp. from steam generator plants, opt. mixed with aggregates, to produce strong building materials, pellets and chipping aggregates, resistant to expansion and contraction, water and frost.
