A storage container for material to be spread on roads is incorporated in a spreader apparatus for local authority vehicles. Beneath the emission aperture of the storage container is an extraction roller (1), on the peripheral surface of which are scrapers (3a,3b,3c). Apart from these, the roller is sealed in relation to the emission aperture.
