Zusammenfassung:	The transducer has a fixing part (1) supporting an oscillating mechanical part (2), controlled directly by an applied electrical signal using a physical effect e.g. a piezoelectric effect. The oscillating mechanical part is coupled to an air, gas, or liquid medium (3), for transmitting its deflection to the latter. The acoustic pulse is provided by supplying the oscillating mechanical part with a harmonic electrical signal defined by a cosine function with a given amplitude variation, to provide a pressure wave over a single period.
