Zusammenfassung:	An assembly both cleans and separates materials esp. recycled plastic into light and heavy fractions using the sink-swim process. The materials are introduced into a water-filled vessel (1) via a hopper (11) and the water is aerated. The materials are advanced by a chain (4) with conveyer pieces (5) and paddle shafts (12). Heavy materials are raised from the vessel (1) floor by horizontal (13) and inclined (2) helical conveyers. The (a) the vessel consists of two roughly equally-sized chambers (27, 28) with side-walls (29) inclined towards the vessel centre (1); (b) the two chambers (27, 28) are hydraulically linked in their lower zones; (c) the horizontal conveyer (13) is located in a channel (30) in the vessel (1) centre; (c) the chain conveyer (4) is located at the water surface, picking up (5) the lighter materials which are ejected over (20) a separating wall (19); (d) the chain conveyer (4) also drives the paddle shafts (12).
